First Day in Cali...

Well, today is actually Joe's birthday. The kids woke up at 5:30am, thanks to the time change, so we were ready for breakfast at 7:00am. We were at the hotel, so at least breakfast is made for us, but we have to get dressed and go and get it. Joe was going to work, so I took the kids to breakfast. Evan decided, once I got everyone their food, that he didn't like the banana he was eating and threw up all over himself. Yes, that was my first morning in california. Luckily, it was at that moment that Joe decided to stop by and say goodbye to the kids, so I could take him back to the room and change. After that, my day got better, I was quite proud of my navigational skills. First, we went to Petco, but they didn't open until 9am. It was only 8, so I took the kids to the house again. I couldn't believe I made it here, then I made it back to the Petco, got Cece food, back to the hotel. After numerous stops all day, we picked up some gifts for Joe and met him for dinner at Friday's. I was amazed at all the Retail places just miles from the house. Where the Petco is, there is (yes, i am going to list them all!) a Linens&Things, Borders, Petco, Staples, Wendys. Across the street is movies, Ross, Mervyns, Marshalls, Jamba Juice, Fridays, Taco Bell, Panera, Price Club, Barnes and Noble, Olive Garden (for the fine Italian cuisine), Home Depot...it just goes on and on, all within 3 miles of the house. Well, good thing i like to shop! Tomorrow the movers are coming!!
